Have the proper selling materials.

Know the recent box office numbers and TV ratings.

5. KNOWLEDGE
Read a newspaper, e-newsletter, and/or industry trade paper every day.

6. KNOW WHERE TO GET INFO ABOUT THE INDUSTRY
Follow all the recent publications, websites, broadcast and cable shows.

7. REGISTER YOUR SCREENPLAY
Know WGA and Copyright procedures.

8. CORRECT FORMATTING
If you've got 3 brads instead of 2, you'll look like an idiot.

Know how to dress and present yourself in a professional manner.
